Localization services for the first week of ownership

Three kinds of copy reach a customer before the product has earned their trust: the carton, the welcome email and the help article. We translate all three into Spanish, Portuguese and French, at a fixed fee agreed in writing.

What the studio takes on

Each service is a distinct scope with its own deliverable, its own reviewer and its own price.

Foundation

Glossary & tone sheet

A term base fixed before any sentence is translated: product names, ingredients, fabrics, finishes and the words that stay in English. Each entry is approved by a native-speaker reviewer, so a “drawstring” is the same word on the carton, in the email and in the help center.

From $385per language · one-time setup
  • Up to 150 entries with usage notes
  • Do-not-translate list
  • One-page tone sheet

Packaging

Cartons, labels & inserts

Copy fitted panel by panel to your dieline. We count characters against the live area, flag every overrun before it reaches the printer, and return a proof PDF with a live text layer for your designer to place. Care labels, ingredient lists and instruction leaflets are included.

What to send the studio

A short package of source material lets us scope accurately, usually within one business day.

  1. The source copy, in its native formatWord, Google Docs, spreadsheet, CSV, JSON or XLIFF. Not a screenshot or a flattened PDF.
  2. Dielines, for packagingPDFs with a live text layer, so panel dimensions and character limits can be measured.
  3. Any existing terminologyPrior translations, competitor wording you admire, product names that must not change.
  4. The target marketsWhere it ships and who buys it, so the variant can be settled up front.
  5. Your launch dateThe date the files must reach the printer or the email platform.
